How can this Group support you

One of the most miraculous and magical experiences is the gift of birthing a child. During these weeks of growing a baby, a woman wants to feel strong, supple, intuitive, relaxed, supported, and prepared. The womb-life and first three years of life set the entire life’s course. Through conscious pregnancy, birthing and early parenting, we set the foundation for life-long health and happiness in a child. Conscious mothers are perhaps the greatest way we can help bring peace to the world. The experience of pregnancy is a time for celebration, quietude, and transformation.

Come and be with other expecting mothers throughout your pregnancy, practicing yoga and meditation, while you experience the enormous physical, emotional and spiritual changes that prepare you to create and welcome another soul! We will move the body to encourage circulation and suppleness, still the mind to encourage clarity and focus, and explore many helpful topics such as: labor support, postpartum care, prenatal, birth plans, infant massage, and how to use a breast pump.

Trimester One to Two

Trimester Two to Three

Wednesdays Trimester 1/2

10am EST 3pm UK

Weeks 1-12 The body is adjusting to the flood of hormones and women may feel nauseous, emotional, excited, surprised, tired, or all of the above! We will concentrate on having a positive pregnancy, discuss choosing a birth place/care provider who aligns with you and your wishes, and join with each other on this powerful journey. Physically, we will move with caution, breathe with mindfulness, and learn meditation to practice throughout pregnancy to assist with a calm, stress-free experience for both you and baby or babies
Weeks 13-26 This is often when queasiness subsides, energy returns, and you are ready to move and groove, and start preparing the home and such. We will concentrate on decision making for baby’s needs, discuss important information to know in regards to choices, and celebrate the growing, and moving, baby! Physically, we will work to strengthen the legs, keep the back and side body supple, and enliven courage and trust.

Fridays Trimester 2/3

Weeks 13-26 This is often when queasiness subsides, energy returns, and you are ready to move and groove, and start preparing the home and such. We will concentrate on decision making for baby’s needs, discuss important information to know in regards to choices, and celebrate the growing, and moving, baby! Physically, we will work to strengthen the legs, keep the back and side body supple, and enliven courage and trust.
Weeks 27-the end. Usually, these weeks are when your body will have substantial changes. We will concentrate on tools for labor, after the birth, and caring for yourself in the postpartum period. Physically, we will focus on keeping the hips open, mind strong, and circulation good!

Andrea Boyd Cohen

Andrea is a joyful and positive support for mothers, partners, and babies in their journey of pregnancy, labor, birthing and parenting. She is a fierce and loving advocate for a mother’s intuition and capability, for the baby’s consciousness, sentience and protection, and for a sacred and gentle birthing environment; encouraging mothers to go into their breath, spirit, strength, vulnerability, and true unlimited nature during the birthing process.

An Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, she was an integral part of the renowned Jivamukti teacher trainings for many years, mentoring hundreds of trainees, teaches all over the world, and is involved in fundraising for organizations such as Bhumi Sehat and The Shyamdas Foundation.

She is a mother, writer, Birth Doula, and teacher of yoga, revered for her grounding presence, practical knowledge, and spiritual wisdom. Her book The Depth of Birth is available by clicking below.
